Mustard Red Giant Seeds
Vegetable Seeds from Sow Seeds
Mustard Red Giant, also known as Japanese Red Mustard, is a traditional mustard with broad, blistered leaves highlighted in red. Left to grow, the leaves become big and bold and are a tasty addition to stir fries. They are also ideal for salads when harvested at a smaller, and more tender, size.
This is the spiciest of the mustard leaves and tastes of horseradish.
Mustard Red Giant seeds are easy and quick to germinate and leaves can be ready to eat in as little as 6 weeks. They can even be used at the seedling stage as they make excellent flavoursome microgreens.
They are a cut & come again variety so keep picking to ensure fresh new growth but as they are at their best when eaten young and tender sow seed little and often every 3-4 weeks to ensure a successional crop of fresh young leaves throughout the season. Mix with other salad leaves like Rocket, Mizuna, Mibuna or corn salad and create your own bistro salad to suit your tastes.
