Tomato Micro Cherry Seeds
Vegetable Seeds from Sow Seeds
Tomato Micro Cherry is a stunning basket or large container variety, that becomes laden with 'hundreds to thousands' of tiny, super sweet red tomatoes. No side shooting or staking required!
Tomato Micro Cherry produces very tasty tomatoes which crop heathily for a couple of months. Sweet tangy bursts with thin skins. Plants are large and spreading with long, cascading branches full of fruit. Growth habit is determinate, so no pruning is necessary. The juicy red fruit are quite small, measuring about 20mm in diameter. For the biggest – and most dramatic plants – use containers 5 to 10 litres in size.

How to Sow: |
Sow seeds thinly in seed trays of seed & potting compost or 2-3 seeds in small pots and cover lightly with a little compost. Firm compost gently and water carefully. Keep in heated greenhouse / propagator at about 15-20C.
Prick out seedlings, once large enough to handle, into 9cm (3 1/2in) pots. Transplant to hanging baskets or containers. Plants have a bushy habit and do not require side-shooting. Place outdoors once all risk of frost has past. Water and feed plants regularly with a high potash feed once the first truss has set.

|
Care: |
Keep protected if frost is forecast with a fleece or a cloche. They require daily watering and feeding with a high potassium, tomato fertiliser once a week when the fruit has begun to set.
Once stems have become laden with fruit they can get quite heavy and may require a little support to prevent them breaking.
