Cabbage Kilastor F1 Seeds (AGM)
Vegetable Seeds from Sow Seeds
Cabbage Kilastor F1 is a high yielding, autumn/winter cabbage, ballhead variety that is the most clubroot resistant cabbage that there is.
This clubroot resistant cabbage produces excellent quality, 2kg, autumn ballheads with a solid, dense structure. Cabbage 'Kilaton' is superb for making coleslaws, salads or steaming. This F1 hybrid variety will stand outdoors over a long period, and once harvested stores well without any deterioration to its delicious flavour. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (12").
Growing Tip:
Try growing cabbages with Nasturtiums to draw cabbage white butterflies away from your crop, and Mint to help deter flea beetles.
Cabbage Kilastor Vegetable Seed Information
Seed Quantity: | Approx 20 seeds per pack. |
Site: |
They prefer well-consolidated ground. They do not like freshly manured soil and do not plant after another brassica as it can lead to a build-up of disease especially club-root.

When to Sow: |
March to May |
How to Sow: |
Sowings can be made in trays or modules under glass at 13C. Later sowings can be made into a seedbed in shallow drills 2cm (3/4") deep in short rows. As soon as glasshouse seedlings show their first pair of leaves, prick off into trays 5cm (2") apart or thin modules to one seedling per cell. Gradually harden off before planting out, spacing plants 35-45cm (14-18in) apart between plants and 45cm (18in) between the rows. Outdoor sowings should be thinned to 7-10cm (3-4in) apart, then once plants are 15cm (6in) tall, they can be lifted and transplanted to their final planting positions |
Care: |
Keep well-watered in summer and occasionally in winter if ground dry. Hoe occasionally to keep weed-free, and build up soil around the base to help keep them upright.
|
Harvest: | Spring Sowings from September to November. |
