Dwarf French Bean Dior is a neat compact plant that produces a number of lovely crisp and crunchy mid- yellow round podded beans per plant. The French Beans measure 13cm long by 0.8cm wide. The French Beans are held off the ground on an upright sturdy plant that measures about 40cm tall and requires only a little staking.

Dwarf French Bean Dior copes really well in a pot and grows outside with no problems.

Crisp, crunchy and rather special, no bendy shop bought beans when you grow your own and can pick French Beans straight from the plant and cook within minutes.

The RHS awarded Dior AGM status in 2019.

Seed Quantity: Approx 60 seeds per pack.
Site:
Any soil type, except heavy clay or acid.
When to Sow:
April under cloches, May to mid-July outside.
How to Sow:

Sow: 2 weeks prior to sowing outside rake in an all purpose general fertilizer. Soak seed before sowing. Sow under cover from April to July, 5cm deep and plant out seedlings when 5cm high and keep at 16C. Or direct sow 5cm deep after the last frosts have passed from mid May to July. Space them 25cm apart. Water well.
Care:
May need a little support if beans become top heavy. Keep soil moist and the area weed free.
Harvest: July to September. Regularly pick beans to maintain cropping and pick before you can see the outline of beans inside the pod to get the best bean.
