Scabiosa Caucasica 'Fama' Cut Flower Seeds
Scabiosa Caucasica is very elegant with its shade of Fama Deep Blue. These intense and magnificent blooms possess the most uniform strain of the Blue Pincushion. The large, widened flower matures into dense clusters of lance-shaped, grey-green leaves where it forms a gorgeous lilac-blue flower with a silvery centre that grows up to 10cm wide. These large flowers are held on long, but strong stems and this perennial plant is very easy to grow even through Winter. This could flower in their first year from early sowing and never fail to bloom throughout the summer and last to autumn. This is well known among flower arrangers since they are the best strain for cutting.
